Faravelli didn’t stop even at mid-August: a winemaker and passionate golfer from Montù Beccaria in Oltrepò Pavese, Antonio is the owner of Cantine Vitea and creator of the “Golf and Wine 1895” project. His proposal was exclusively accepted by the Salice Terme Golf & Country, where he presented his wines and his vision of revitalizing the territory.

Cantine Vitea, with a history that exceeds one hundred years, is one of the symbolic realities of Oltrepò Pavese. During the event, participants were able to taste and purchase several of the winery’s award-winning wines, including some historic labels also appreciated by Giacomo Puccini.

Faravelli explained the project to those present. His goal is clear: to enhance Made in Italy by involving territory, sports and typical products, with the “Golf and Wine 1895” brand, which combines golf and wine as symbols of excellence and tools to attract quality tourism.

The initiative has a strong tourism component: it aims to promote golf side by side with wine, one of the most well-known and appreciated Italian products in the world. “Golf and Wine 1895” wants to be the engine for a new image of Italy abroad.

The project is ambitious, but Faravelli firmly believes in it. He wants to revive golf in Italy, increase the number of practitioners and, at the same time, promote local excellence on an international scale. According to him, this is the way to grow tourism, territory, production and sport, positioning Italy among the world’s leading sports tourism destinations.

For Faravelli, golf is a fundamental resource for a country like Italy with a vocation for tourism. If golf grows, the whole supply chain grows. And a project that combines sports and local products can be a concrete key to the harmonious development of the country.
