Musetti and Sonego fly to the final in Cincinnati after a stunning comeback

Lorenzo Musetti and Lorenzo Sonego have qualified for the men’s doubles final at the Cincinnati ATP tournament. The Italian pair, for the first time in a Masters 1000 final, overcame Britain’s Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski in three sets in an hour and 40 minutes of play.
The Azzurri won by a score of 4-6 6-3 13-11, triumphing in a super tiebreak. In the finals they will face the pair formed by Nikola Mektic and Rajeev Ram.
For the Sonego-Musetti duo, it is the second final reached in an ATP doubles tournament after the one they lost in 2024 in Doha.
