After Jannik Sinner, Jasmine Paolini also qualified for the final of the Cincinnati tournament on a historic Monday for Italian tennis.

The Tuscan hit a hard-earned victory over Veronika Kudermetova, defeated in three sets with a score of 6-3 6-7 6 6-3 after two hours and twenty minutes of play.

Jasmine Paolini, in the third WTA 1000 final of her career, will be hunting for a success to add to those in Dubai in 2024 and Rome this year.

Her opponent will be Iga Swiatek, who beat Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina in two sets 7-5 6-3 in the other semifinal, thus hitting her third final of her season after those on grass at Bad Homburg and especially at Wimbledon.
