Coppa Italia 2025-2026: Audace Cerignola-Hellas Verona, the probable formations

Reduced by the success in the preliminary round against ’Avellino (1-0, decisive goal by Luigi Cuppone), Audace Cerignola is dreaming of access to the round of 16 of the Italian Cup but will have in front of them a Serie A club, Hellas Verona, intent on asserting the odds in its favor. It will be played Monday at 6 p.m. at the ‘Monterisi’ in Cerignola, due to the unavailability of the ‘Bentegodi’ in Verona.

Guided on the bench by Vincenzo Maiuri, the Gialloblù ofantini will in all likelihood propose a lineup similar to that of the match against Avellino, with Emmausso and Cuppone acting as the offensive terminals of a team with a dense midfield, composed of the outfielders D’Orazio and Russo and the central Coccia, Cretella and Bianchini.

The Scaligeri, in their first official engagement of the season, are instead looking for a success that will give the right boost to an environment that has just returned from a season full of ups and downs.

Paolo Zanetti should also rely on the 3-5-2 with Livramento and Giovane as the attacking pair. At the back is expected to see the debut of Ebosse, who has arrived from Udinese on loan with a buy-back obligation upon reaching certain conditions.
