Jannik Sinner-Anna Kalinskaya: Nick Kyrgios was already ready to take action

In the last few hours, news has been circulating that has quickly made the rounds on social media: Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya, formerly an off-court couple, were also to play mixed doubles together at the US Open. An indiscretion that ignited the interest of fans and fueled the curiosity of fans. Too bad it was false.

No entry, no official confirmation, no plan to that effect. The news, bounced between sites and profiles, has been belied by the facts: their mixed doubles is only in the imagination of those who hoped to see them side by side even between the white lines. Among them, presumably, Nick Kyrgios, one of the former of the comely Russian tennis player, who would not miss the opportunity to intervene on social media.

Celebratory, as much as questionable, was her exit (‘Second serve’) commenting on an image of her with Kalinskaya. At Flushing Meadows Jannik will be engaged in mixed doubles, no longer with Emma Navarro, but with Katarina Siniakova: who knows if Kyrgios will have something to say about her, too.
