Numia Vero Volleyball Milan, Rebecca Piva takes Myriam Sylla’s place

Rebecca Piva is officially a new player of Numia Vero Volley Milan for the 2025/2026 season. The 2001-born Bologna-born setter, now in her fourth consecutive participation in the top league, thus completes the side department of the Milanese lineup, joining teammates Pietrini, Lanier and Cagnin.
Born in 2001 in Bologna, volleyball is a family affair for Piva: in fact, the young Bolognese is the daughter of former volleyball player Alberto Piva, while her mother is former setter Brunella Filippini. Rebecca Piva took her first steps in the world of volleyball in her home club Idea Volley Bologna, and then continued her youth career in the ranks of Igor Volley Novara. In the 2019/2020 season she made her Serie A2 debut with the Ravenna jersey where she also played for the following year.
At the end of the Ravenna adventure comes for her the first call-up to the major national team with which she debuts in the VNL. In 2021/2022 she makes the big jump to the top league with the jersey of Delta Despar Trentino and then ends the season again in A2 with the colors of Millenium Brescia. From the 2022/2023 season she plays permanently in Serie A1 first with Casalmaggiore and, in the last two years, with the Uyba Farfalle. Now Rebecca Piva is ready to wear the jersey of Numia Vero Volley Milan where she will make her international debut in the Champions League.
“I am honored to wear the colors of a club of the caliber of Vero Volley – said Piva – I expect a challenging season full of satisfaction; there are certainly many important goals we want to achieve and I hope we will be able to do it together, with the help of the public and the whole club.”
