Balaton challenge galvanizes Franco Morbidelli

Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team

MotoGP flies to Hungary for the first race in its history at Balaton Park Circuit and a new challenge awaits the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team. Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Di Giannantonio are ready to take on the curves of the Magyar track, where they have already held a test with the Ducati Panigale V4.

Returning to Austria after an injury layoff, Morbidelli regained feeling with his Ducati Desmosedici GP at Spielberg and the goal for Balaton is to continue the work to be in contention for the top spot. Fifth in the championship with 144 points, Franco is ready for the Hungarian Grand Prix, where he has already ridden with the road bike earlier this month.

“It will be a weekend full of unknowns because it’s a new track for everyone,” Franco said. “Balaton is a completely different track from Spielberg. So many things will be very different. The important thing will be to adapt as soon as possible to the new circuit and do a good job already from Friday, as always, but this weekend a little more. We got a good feeling in Austria, the speed was there. The goal will be to keep progressing, we arrive in Hungary knowing we have to do a lot of work, but we are ready.”
