La Liga 2025-2026: Betis-Alaves, the probable formations

Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis is looking for redemption after a complicated start and some recent disappointments, made worse by the heavy absences of Isco and Diego Llorente. Alavés arrives in Seville full of enthusiasm after its debut success against Levante: the spotlight is on Blanco and Vicente, draggers of Coudet’s team.
The green-and-whites need a win to get back on track, while the Basques are aiming for their second consecutive useful result in this start of the season, which would become their fifth considering also the positive streak with which they ended last season.
The challenge promises to be a balanced one: on paper Betis can count on greater technical quality, but the record speaks in favor of Alavés, unbeaten against the Andalusians for almost four years. The last encounter in La Liga, last January at the Benito Villamarín, ended in a heavy 1-3, signed by Kike García’s (now at Espanyol) hat trick.
