The 2025-26 Bundesliga opened on Friday night with Bayern Munich’s tennis win over the hapless RB Leipzig and continues on Saturday: Eintracht Frankfurt–Werder Bremen is one of the scheduled matches and will start at 3:30 p.m.

The hosts come from an extraordinary third place finish last season, which gave them Champions League qualification, but they have to start again without Ekitike: the striker was in fact sold to Liverpool in exchange for a boatload of money.

Werder Bremen, on the other hand, has chosen to open a new cycle by entrusting the bench to Horst Steffen, with the goal of clinching a place in Europe at the end of the year. Although the elimination in the German Cup against Arminia Bielefeld made for a lackluster start, there is no shortage of optimism, both from experienced veterans and new recruits.

Probable lineups

Eintracht Frankfurt (4-2-3-1): Zetterer; Kristensen, Koch, Collins, Theate; Larsson, Chaïbi; Doan, Uzun, Bahoya; Burkardt. Coach: Dino Toppmuller

.

Werder Bremen (4-2-3-1): Backhaus; Agu, Stark, Friedl, Deman; Lynen, Bittencourt; Njinmah, Schmid, Grüll; Topp. Coach: Horst Steffen
