Cristiano Ronaldo scores 100 goals in Arabia, but comes a'another disappointment

Cristiano Ronaldo touches 100 goals with Al-Nassr, but runs into another disappointment: his team was defeated in the Saudi Arabia Super Cup final by Al Ahli after a fiery challenge that ended 2-2 in regulation time and was decided on penalties.
It was CR7 himself who opened the scoring on a penalty kick at 41′. Thanks to this goal, the Portuguese star reached another record: he is the first footballer to hit 100 goals in the jersey of four different clubs and with his national team. Before halftime came the equalizer, signed by former AC Milan player Franck Kessié with a shot from the edge.
In the second half, former Inter Milan player Marcelo Brozovic scored the 2-1 goal for Al-Nassr, but at 89’89’ former Roma player Ibanez made it 2-2 with a header.
At the penalty shootout, Al Khaibari’s mistake for Al-Nassr was decisive. For Ronaldo it is yet another disappointment in the Saudi club jersey, with which he won only the Arab Champions Cup in 2023. But the 1,000 career goal quota is approaching (he is now at 957 goals).
