Maura Materazzi’s dramatic announcement: "Matteo is very sick"

“The disease is galloping, it is very fast. He is very sick, but I don’t think about his illness. I think about how sick he is but mostly about how much I want him to survive”. Maura Soldati, Matteo Materazzi’s wife, expressed all her concern while talking to Fanpage.

“It is a difficult disease, especially for those who live it, but it is also complicated for those who accompany – said the woman -. One always thinks rightly in the first place of the sick person. But with this kind of illness, even the caregiver is put almost on par with the sick person as a type of life. With this disease there is no death sentence, but it is wearisome”.

“I would like to see a voice for the fact that those who are in contact h24 with an ALS patient need a great deal of support – added Matteo’s wife. “My husband never sleeps at night, he wakes up a thousand times, he has a thousand pains and so many problems. I have to turn him over all the time, he doesn’t have a lean body, and I am alone: every night. Now we are in Sardinia, because he wanted to come there. He has had a home here for over forty years, because his mother was Sardinian”.
