FIBA Eurobasket kicks off: the Italian national team and the stars of Europe live on Sky

The brightest stars of European basketball will compete from Wednesday, August 27 to Sunday, September 14 on the parquet floors of FIBA EuroBasket 2025, live on Sky and streaming on NOW. The 2025 edition of the European Championships will deliver excitement, balance and spectacle, and the Sky Sports basketball team is ready to report on it minute by minute.
With a new feature: the Sky Sport Basket channel, the new “home” for all hoops fans, is moving and from tomorrow, Wednesday, August 27, will be available on channel 205 of the Sky lineup.
Sky Sport Basket will be the point of reference of FIBA EuroBasket 2025, with live coverage of the challenges, at least two for each day of competition, pre and post studies (also live on Sky Sport 24) of the games that will see the Azzurra National Team on the court, entrusted to the conduction of Francesco Bonfardeci, as well as the daily studies of presentation and commentary of the matches.
The Azzurra National Team will play the matches of the first phase at Spyros Kyprianou Arena in Limassol (Cyprus): in the commentary station, the commentators of Italy’s matches will be Flavio Tranquillo and Davide Pessina while correspondent Gaia Accoto will be in charge of interviews with the protagonists. The other matches will be narrated by Sky Sport’s basketball team reporters, including Geri De Rosa and Andrea Solaini, with technical commentary by Andrea Meneghin, Matteo Soragna and Laura Macchi.
SKY’S BASKET – The FIBA EuroBasket 2025 European Championships are the first event of the 2025/2026 season of great basketball in Sky’s House of Sports. Sky Sport Basket, the brand new channel that subscribers will find on Sky’s 205 from August 27, will bring together Italian, European and U.S. basketball in a unique destination for fans. For the next 3 seasons, in fact, LBA basketball Serie A lands on Sky and NOW, with 60 regular season games, 2 for each round and always the big match of the day; 2 games per day of the playoff quarterfinals; all semifinals and all finals. In addition, on Sky and NOW all matches of the next 3 seasons of the Italian Super Cup and Coppa Italia, for which Sky has also acquired free-to-air broadcasting rights. From the end of September on Sky and NOW the EuroLeague and EuroCup, exclusively for the next 3 seasons and, from October, the new NBA challenges.
