I had a moment of personal growth, there were many changes that I had never faced before, and this allowed me to start getting to know myself better. The most complicated period was the season on grass; from the first match with Jabeur doubts arose, also because grass is very unforgiving. Then there was the change of coach and the week in Montreal was really complicated. I isolated myself, closed with the people who love me, with the team and with the support of the family. We worked a lot and since Cincinnati it has gotten better. That part of the season was hard, mentally and physically, but slowly I found the square and I hope that the negative period is definitely over”.
