Cremonese, flag lowered: Michele Castagnetti to Cesena

Cremonese soccer market: as Davide Nicola&#8217s team dreams of Jamie Vardy&#8217s arrival, an important grigiorossa flag of recent years is being lowered. Indeed, the Lombard club has announced the departure of Michele Castagnetti, who was sold to Cesena after seven seasons and more than 200 games for the team that has just returned to Serie A.

“U.S. Cremonese – writes the club in an official note – announces that it has definitively sold the rights to the sports performance of the player Michele Castagnetti to the club Cesena FC. This closes one of the most important and long-lived chapters in the recent history of the grigiorossa: the midfielder from Emilia, in Cremona since the summer of 2018, was the first movement player to surpass 200 appearances in a Cremo jersey from the 2000s to the present, in addition to living as a protagonist the promotions to Serie A in 2022 and 2025”.

“Throughout his experience in the’shadow of the Torrazzo– Cremonese continues in its farewell to Castagnetti– he has established himself as one of the best performers in Serie B in the role of director, also becoming a reference point for his teammates on and especially off the field, wearing the captain”.
