Inter defeated at home in the second day of Serie A, with the Nerazzurri surprised at San Siro by’Udinese. An ugly knockout after the promising debut against Torino, and Cristian Chivu in the press conference pointed out his team’s flaws while taking full responsibility for what happened.

“Maybe it is also because of me that the team does not play serene. I have not been able to convey it, and for this I take responsibility – Chivu remarked from the belly of San Siro -. We have tried in every way to have players on the field who are used to being in the area, unfortunately we have not made it. The Inter yard is still open, but it cannot remain so for long”.

“Against Udinese we were a little bit lazy, we didn’t carry the ball well and we failed to look for superiority – continued Chivu in his analysis -. We have to maintain the levels of enthusiasm and motivation that we had until a few days ago, also because an episode like the penalty damaged us on a psychological level. They are a physical team and we knew it, in the second half we ran more but it was not enough”.

“Inter must grow with my ideas, we cannot do anything different. But it is not an easy task, because so many years of habit cannot be erased in a few weeks. My task is to speed up the process, to help these guys understand my ideas and put them into action. At the individual level they can all give more, I saw a generalized difficulty in maneuvering. And maybe it was me who did not give the right motivation”, Chivu concluded.
