Even the rain didn’t stop Antonio Faravelli

Not even the rain stopped Antonio Faravelli, golfing winemaker from Montù Beccaria, in the Oltrepò Pavese, owner of Cantine Vitea and promoter of the “Golf and Wine 1895” project, who was in demand with his wines and his revitalization project at Le Rovedine Golf Club for the Golfaround charity event.
Cantine Vitea, with more than a century of history, represents one of the symbolic realities of the Oltrepò Pavese. During the event, numerous participants had the opportunity to taste and purchase the winery’s award-winning wines, including some historic labels that were also appreciated in the past by the famous composer Giacomo Puccini.
Antonio Faravelli explained the project to all those present: his goal is to relaunch Made in Italy, involving the territory and its products through the Golf and Wine 1895 brand, which brings together the’essence of sport and tourism. “Golf and wine must be united as ambassadors of the territory, to increase tourism and best represent ourselves with our excellence in the world – he clarified. The project has a strong tourism value, since it intends to promote this wonderful sport by combining it with one of the most appreciated and well-known Italian wine products in the world: wine. Golf and Wine 1895 is the brand that can be the driving force behind it.”
“Golf – he added – is too important for a country, especially for’Italy a country with a vocation for tourism, if golf grows the whole allied industry grows, Italy needs to become more and more attractive as a destination at the sports tourism level, and this project linked to productions and territories can boost the country in a homogeneous way”.
