Farewell to Fabrizio Pianetti, longtime Genoa fan and television face

The world of sports and television mourns the passing of Fabrizio Pianetti, who was cut down at age 57 by an illness he faced with great courage.

Historic Genoa fan and respected merchant in the Ligurian capital, Pianetti was known to the public as a familiar face on Telenord, where with great passion he animated and hosted the highly popular column ‘Pesto and soccer’.

“Ciao me amigu. I want to remember Fabrizio this way, through the greeting we used to exchange when we would text or see each other in person. Condolences to all his family” said Telenord’s editor, Massimiliano Monti.

“You didn&#8220t have to do this to me! Now how am I going to walk past your store knowing that you will no longer be there? So many scoffs. So many laughs. I will miss everything about you! Safe journey to the’eternal my friend. Paradise awaits you” the words of Enrico Nicolini, former Sampdoria soccer player.
