World Cup Qualification 2026: Malta-Lithuania, the likely lineups

On Thursday, Sept. 4 at 6 p.m. at the ‘Dariaus ir Girėno stadionas’ in Kaunas, Lithuania will host Malta, still stuck with zero goals and at the bottom of the standings in Group G of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. In the first leg it ended 0-0 between the Lithuanians and Maltese.
Jankauskas will have to do without Kučys and Kazukolovas, both of whom are pitched out with injuries. On the outside lanes, Gineitis and Slivka are ready, with Vorobeyev, Lasickas and Dolzhnikov making up the midfield line, while Paulauskas has space in the attack.
The Maltese side will have to go without the Maltese.
On the opposite front, Satariano and Jones will act on the flanks, with Guillaume, Grech and Joseph Mbong manning the midfield. Up front, the offensive terminal will be Paul Mbong.
