Gennaro Gattuso knows what Italy wants to see against Israel

Gennaro Gattuso is putting the convincing victory of’Italy over Estonia behind him by shifting his concentration to the next match against Israel. This is very clear from his words, spoken Sunday on the eve of a crucial challenge on the Azzurri’s path to qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
“They are two decidedly different teams, if only in terms of structure – noted Gattuso in the press conference -. Estonia is very physical, while Israel plays in transition and has great quality. Plus they are living a very healthy moment, coming from six wins and one loss. The latter, moreover, came from Norway, who did not deserve to beat them for what they saw on the court”.
“Already after Estonia I explained to you what Italy I expect to see against Israel– added Gattuso -They are difficult to deal with, especially in transitions. So it will be important to manage the ball in general, but especially when we are in their half of the field. That will be the problem, not whether we will play with two strikers or not”.
“We train well, but it is important to reap what we sow. There’s enthusiasm and we’re creating a good environment around Italy. All good, but we have to carry it until June. I have never thought of asking my players to do what I used to do, also because over the years my vision of soccer has changed. I focus on their enthusiasm, a certain way of training and their smile. Then, based on the results we get, we will be judged”, Gattuso concluded.
