Carmine Galletta and his son Vittorio ready to conquer Etna

Next Sept. 20, on the slopes of Mount Etna, Carmine Galletta and his son Vittorio will tackle the’Everesting, a sporting test of great difficulty and intensity that aims to accumulate, in a single cycling session, a difference in altitude equal to the’height of Mount Everest, that is 8,848 meters. A challenge that requires not only physical preparation, but also a mental approach aimed at enduring such a major effort.

Both fans of the two wheels, Carmine and Vittorio Galletta decided to share this experience as an opportunity for personal and family growth. The former will bring all his experience in the world of cycling while the latter represents the new generation approaching this type of trials with enthusiasm and determination.

Supporting the initiative is also Carlo Calcagni, Paralympic athlete and longtime friend of the Galletta family: “I, who have been a lifelong fraternal friend of Carmine’s and have seen Vittorio born and grow up, can only encourage them with all my heart. I know their strength, their heart and their determination. To them I want to say the same words that guide my existence: never give up, despite everything and everyone, whatever it takes”.

May each pedal to the sky of Etna’Etna become the eternal symbol of what a father and son can conquer together”. The Galletta’s feat will be followed by fans and supporters, representing an example of how sports can become a vehicle for positive messages and authentic testimonies.
