Liga 2025-2026: Getafe-Real Oviedo, the probable formations

One of the most interesting realities in Spanish soccer at this start of the season, Getafe takes on newly promoted Real Oviedo on the fourth day of La Liga. The match, scheduled for 2 p.m., pits Bordalás’s team, which started with two wins before capitulating in Valencia, against Paunovic’s team, which unblocked itself in the standings before the break by beating Real Sociedad.
Known for being a very defensive-minded coach, José Bordalás is unlikely to prove himself even against a newly-promoted side.
Thus, a five-man lineup in defense is likely, with Iglesias and Davinchi called upon to act as ‘pendulums’ on the flanks. In attack, there will be room for Liso, who scored a brace in the’last success against Sevilla, and former Roma player Borja Mayoral.
As for the Asturians, Serbian coach Veljko Paunovic will go for an old-fashioned 4-4-2, with Ilic and Vinas the offensive pair. Among the starting eleven there is also room for Dendoncker, match winner against Real Sociedad in the last match played before the break. A few doubts in midfield, especially about Chaira’s condition: if he is well, he will be the starter anyway.
Probable lineups
GETAFE (5-3-2): Soria; Iglesias, Djené, Duarte, Rico, Davinchi; Milla, Martin, Arambarri; Liso, Mayoral. All. Bordalás
REAL OVIEDO (4-4-2): Escandell; Vidal, Costas, Calvo, Alhassane; Chaira, Dendoncker, Reina, Ejaria; Ilic, Vinas. All. Paunovic.
