MotoGp, home pole for Marco Bezzecchi. Marc Marquez on second row, Pecco Bagnaia eighth

Marco Bezzecchi takes pole position at the end of qualifying at the San Marino and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix. Just a few kilometers from his home, on the Misano Adriatico circuit dedicated to the memory of Marco Simoncelli, Bezzecchi achieved a time of 1:30.134 on his Aprilia, ahead of Alex Marquez (Ducati Gresini) by 88 thousandths and Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) by 94 thousandths.
World championship leader Marc Marquez (Ducati) has to settle for opening the second row: it is 218 thousandths the delay of his best time compared to that of Bezzecchi. Completing the second row are two Italian riders: Franco Morbidelli (Ducati VR46) is fifth, while a more than positive Luca Marini (Honda) ended the session in sixth place.
Two Italians also lined up on the third row: seventh on the grid for Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati VR46), while eighth was Pecco Bagnaia, still struggling on the official Ducati Desmosedici GP-25. Ninth place for Pedro Acosta (KTM), behind him will start on the fourth row Fermin Aldeguer (Ducati Gresini), Jorge Martin (Aprilia) and Joan Mir (Honda).
The fourth row will be the first row.
For Marco Bezzecchi today’s is the second pole position of the season, after the one obtained in the Grand Prix d’Austria. On that occasion he finished in fourth place in the Sprint Race and in third position in the long race on Sunday. ‘Bez’ currently fourth in the overall standings, is looking for important points to enter the Top 3: the gap to Pecco Bagnaia is 40 points after 15 race weekends.
