The Iranian, who came on as a substitute in the game, netted two goals in the match won by Olympiacos over Panserraikos. As happened to Benjamin Pavard with Marseille, the 33-year-old Iranian also wet his debut by going into the net, in the striker&#8217s case twice.

Mehdi Taremi’s adventure at Inter Milan never took off. Having arrived in the summer of 2024 on a zero-parameter basis from Porto, the 1992-class center forward failed to settle in and struggled mightily in the Nerazzurri shirt (only three goals in 43 official appearances). His bad season prompted the Nerazzurri management to put him on the market, with several clubs having shown interest in the Iranian bomber. Before his final landing at Olympiacos, several teams had moved on Mehdi Taremi, including West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Fenerbahce and Besiktas.
