Juventus, three unknowns for Igor Tudor on eve of 'first' in Champions League

For Juventus, the time to metabolize the pyrotechnic 4-3 inflicted on’Inter has expired: on the horizon there is in fact another important match for the Bianconeri, the debut match in the Champions League 2025-2026 against Borussia Dortmund. A challenge that, in official matches (thus excluding the friendly of last August 10, finished 3-1 for Juve) has not been played since March 2015, with Bianconeri success 3-0.
Igor Tudor, speaking in the press conference presenting the match, confirmed the unknown linked to the physical condition of three players: defenders Bremer and Cabal and offensive joker Conceiçao: “I have to talk to all three, make my evaluations and then a final choice – said the Croatian coach -. You have to understand how they are, tomorrow morning I will make a final decision”.
The close matches impose on the Croatian coach reflections that go beyond the physical condition, in any case: “We play every three days, it is difficult to make a long schedule. What we will do is evaluate every single player, regardless of the previous game and the next one: whether it is Inter or Borussia Dortmund, we prepare every game to our full potential”.
For Tudor it will be his first Champions League game on the Juventus bench: as a footballer he came close to winning in 2003, losing in the all-Italian final in Manchester to AC Milan on penalties. “Champions is a competition that everyone likes – he said -When I was in Marseille I understood that the appeal of this cup is the same even as a coach. The matches, however, are prepared like any other, the players simply do not want to miss it, they would play even with half a leg”.
