Atalanta, Ivan Juric sets the rules: clear words on Ademola Lookman

Although included in the Champions list, Ademola Lookman does not figure among Atalanta’s squad for Wednesday’s challenge against defending champions PSG in the competition. Interviewed on the subject by ‘Sky Sport’, the Croatian coach spoke about the long telenovela of the market, which had as a direct consequence the’exclusion of the Nigerian national from the first matches of the season.
“As for the situation related to Lookman I can confirm there’is serenity on both sides – said the coach of Atalanta, who against the Parisians will experience his first bench in the Champions League -. We have already spoken with him and we have been clear, now there’is only to think about tomorrow”’s match.
Lookman, during the summer soccer market, was on the verge of leaving Atalanta to go to Inter, a transfer, however, opposed by the Orobic club, which rejected the Nerazzurri offers, all of which were less than the 50 million plus bonuses initially requested. The case exploded when the player deserted his first training sessions, returning to Zingonia only a few days before’the start of the championship, as a home separate.
In early September Juric’s somewhat surprising choice to include Lookman’s name in the list of Atalanta players employable in the Champions League. However, the striker, who has played a couple of matches with the Nigerian national team without scoring, has not yet been called up in the three league matches played so far, nor in the cup match against PSG. His fate will be determined in the coming weeks.
