More rude to Jannik Sinner, Anna Falchi again at center of controversy
Anna Falchi is back to poke Jannik Sinner and she did it again from the Rai studios: “I root for Carlos Alcaraz as a matter of sympathy. I like him physically, I have always liked Mediterranean men” he said. Rain of social criticism from Sinner fans, who recalled the’incident dating back to February 2024.
On that occasion Anna Falchi commented on Jannik Sinner’s decision not to go to Sanremo: “He didn’t do a sympathy operation, he gave up being welcomed by an Italian audience, because he is Italian. He’s turned out to be unempathetic and cold” had said Stefano Ricucci’s former partner.
Anna Falchi wanted to point out: “There was talk about his non-participation in Sinner’s Sanremo Festival after his victories and he declined the’offer. I recklessly and as an ignoramus, as one who does not know the sport, said he could drop in on Sanremo”.
“I had never said that’recalled Falchi–I had an incredible shitstorm. I had to apologize, I was wrong, I did not know his schedule. I felt it was a pity his absence in Sanremo, since it is the’most important event we have in Italy, but then I realized that Sinner is a person who needs concentration and everyone decides what is best for himself”.
