Obereggen and Misano strengthen their partnership

Obereggen Latemar Spa

The Latemar Dolomites area, the Bolzano Tourist Board and Misano Adriatico consolidated their partnership during the days of the San Marino and Rimini Riviera MotoGP Grand Prix, held at the “Marco Simoncelli” circuit. The Obereggen Latemar SpA lift company, a South Tyrolean resort (20 minutes from Bolzano) in the Latemar ski area with its sister resorts in Trentino, Pampeago and Predazzo, together with the Bolzano Tourist Board presented the new 2025-2026 winter season on the promenade of the well-known seaside resort, hosted by the VisitMisano foundation and the local municipal administration. Thus reciprocating the event ‘Beach Party at 2000 meters high’ by VisitMisano organized, last March, at the snowpark in Obereggen.

“The initiative, now in its second year, was possible thanks to the collaboration with the VisitMisano Foundation and the Municipality of Misano, whom we thank for their hospitality” says Thomas Ondertoller, marketing and communications director of Obereggen Latemar SpA. “It was interesting to share with the guests the novelties of the upcoming winter season – says Thomas Ondertoller -, we observed the presence of many Italian citizens from different regions and foreigners including Germans, Austrians, Swiss, English. I explained the new features of the upcoming winter season that will start on November 28, the first opening of the Dolomiti Superski international carousel. Due thanks are due to the VisitMisano Foundation, chaired by architect Luigi Bellettini, supported by Luca Santini and marketing consultant Antonino Minchillo with whom he promoted, at our information point, on the waterfront, the news of the season in the city of Bolzano starting with the Christmas markets”.

The mayor of Misano Adriatico Fabrizio Piccioni also expressed his satisfaction: “This twinning sanctions a collaboration that will bestow important fruits on Misano, Bolzano and Obereggen”.

Roberta Agosti, director of the Bolzano Tourist Board highlighted: “In Bolzano we will inaugurate the Christmas markets on November 27. Here in Romagna and South Tyrol there are many events to promote and experience together”.

Luigi Bellettini, president of VisitMisano, rattled off significant data: “It is a fruitful collaboration that has generated concrete spin-offs. From Bolzano and environs, compared to last year, we recorded a growth in arrivals and presences of 13 percent, and by the end of 2025 I am convinced we could record further advances. We will continue in the future to export our proposal to Obereggen in winter and to host our mountain friends here at the seaside”.

“It is always a valuable moment when different territories come together to enhance their respective excellences” stressed Roland Buratti, president of the Bolzano Tourist Board.

Also speaking was Andrea Albani, managing director Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”: “In Misano, as in Obereggen and Bolzano last winter, a common promotion for common growth has been consolidated. Ski slopes and circuit are linked by the issue of safety which we have already started talking about for possible joint projects in terms of prevention in the coming winter on the slopes of the area”.

Obereggen will be the first of the 12 valleys of the Dolomiti Superski international ski carousel: it will open the turnstiles on Friday, November 28, both at 8:30 a.m. with the first daytime skiing and at night from 7 p.m. and final party at the Apres Ski LOOX downstream of the historic Oberholz slope; from Saturday, November 29, at 8:30 a.m., the lifts and slopes of Obereggen, Pampeago and Predazzo and their connections are scheduled to open. On Thursday, Nov. 27, the traditional Christmas markets will be opened in Bolzano.
