ATP Hangzhou: Luca Nardi withdraws, Giulio Zeppieri is in the main draw

Luca Nardi was forced to forfeit in the Hangzhou ATP 250 due to food poisoning. The Pesaro-born player, who entered the main draw thanks to the withdrawal of Roberto Bautista Agut, was scheduled to make his debut against Aleksandar Kovacevic of the United States.
“Hello everyone, unfortunately, after 6 days here in China and after preparing myself as best as I could to face this tournament, today I was forced to withdraw due to a stomach flu/food poisoning – wrote the Azure on social -. My priority now is to recover and come back stronger. See you in Tokyo”.
Who will instead make his debut in the main draw is Giulio Zeppieri, who made it through the last round of qualifying thanks to his success against Czech Dalibor Svrcina, world number 99 and second seed in the qualifying draw, defeated with a final score of 6-1 6-4 after an hour and a half of play.
The Roman dominated the first partial, conceding crumbs on serve and snatching the serve from his opponent twice. In the second partial, however, all it took was a break for the Azure to file and qualify for the main draw.
