Inter-Sassuolo: Chivu reunites with Lautaro Martinez and makes more changes

Having pulled off the crucial victory, on the’debut in the Champions League, against’Ajax, Inter must now worry about making up ground in the league where, after three days, it has won only three points. It needs a success in the home match, scheduled for Sunday evening, against Sassuolo.
Refreshed by the victory on Dutch soil, Chivu seems intent on making some lineup changes for the challenge with the neroverdi. The first major change is the return to the field, from the first minute, of Lautaro Martinez. The Bull, who was forced to forfeit for the match with Ajax due to a back problem, has returned to regular training and is ready to resume his leading role on the pitch (although Pio Esposito has replaced him worthily).
Also almost certain is a rotation between the posts with Martinez expected to take Sommer’s place. The experienced Swiss goalkeeper responded to post-Juventus criticism with a great showing with Ajax but there are many games to be played and Chivu wants to “experiment” Martinez as well.
The goalkeeper is expected to be replaced by Martinez.
Bisseck should also have space in the backline, Carlos Augusto on the flank (rest turn for Dimarco) and Sucic who seems set to take Mkhitaryan’s place in the middle of the field. This is the possible Nerazzurri anti-Sassuolo lineup: Martinez; Bisseck, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Sucic, Carlos Augusto; Thuram, Lautaro Martinez.
