Jannik Sinner Foundation, official debut in Milan, Italy

It was an evening of celebration and social engagement on Thursday in Milan, where Jannik Sinner officially presented his Foundation, a project that aims to support children’s education and expand access to sports. The event was attended by Foundation president Alex Vittur, board member Stefano Domenicali, director Christina Tauber, and more than one hundred invited guests.
The Foundation’s Board of Directors, composed of Vittur, Domenicali, and Luca Maestri, outlined the guidelines of an ambitious project: to foster education and sports as tools to give concrete opportunities to young people.
“I’ve been fortunate to be able to pursue my passion through tennis, but I know that millions of children don’t have the opportunity to pursue their dreams because they can’t go to school,” Sinner said from the stage. “With Alex, we had been talking for years about creating a foundation. Today, seeing this project finally come to life, I’m happy to be able to help so many kids realize their aspirations.”
Among the highlights of the evening was the announcement of the foundation’s first official partnerships. In the education sector, a partnership was announced with the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), the world’s largest fund dedicated to improving education in low-income countries.
“We are honored that the Sinner Foundation’s first major initiative is a three-year partnership with GPE. Jannik’s vision and global commitment bring new energy and visibility to the cause of education. Together we can help millions of marginalized children learn and grow,” commented Laura Frigenti, CEO of GPE.
In the sports sector, the Foundation has signed its first partnership with Südtiroler Sporthilfe, a nonprofit organization in the province of Bolzano that supports young talent by providing scholarships, mentoring, and opportunities for growth.
“Sports are an integral part of our region’s culture and identity, and we are proud that Jannik represents us globally. Supporting young athletes and ensuring that children have access to sports has always been at the core of our mission. Joining forces with the Jannik Sinner Foundation is an important step in expanding our efforts and creating new opportunities for the next generation,” said Giovanni Podini, president of Südtiroler Sporthilfe.
According to Foundation Director Christina Tauber, “Education multiplies possibilities, opens doors and creates opportunities that transform the lives of people, communities and economies. With the Foundation, we want to extend these same opportunities to children around the world. Supporting GPE is a critical first step, and partnering with Südtiroler Sporthilfe means giving something back to the community that accompanied Jannik’s growth.”
The Foundation also wished to thank the founding partners – Gucci, Rolex, Nike and Head – for their invaluable support from the earliest stages of the project, emphasizing how collaboration between sports, education and business can generate a real and lasting impact on the next generation.
