La Liga 2025-2026: Betis-Real Sociedad, the probable formations

Fifth day of the La Liga championship, although for Betis, engaged on Friday night against Real Sociedad at the Estadio de la Cartuja (the Benito Villamarin, usual home of the green-and-whites, is unusable due to modernization works) it is the sixth game, having anticipated the one at home of Celta for calendar reasons.
The start of the season for Manuel Pellegrini’s men was rather negative: only one win against Alaves, three draws (1-1 with Elche and in Vigo, 2-2 at home to Levante) and one defeat, 2-1 against Athletic Bilbao. In the match against Levante, Cucho Hernandez and Fornals scored: both, barring any surprises, will be in the starting eleven.
If Betis limps along, Real Sociedad hasn’t exactly sprung from the starting blocks: in four games, two points have come, and before this match the Basques recorded defeats against two other Real sides, Oviedo and Madrid (despite the Blancos playing in ten for half an hour). To get out of the crisis, coach Sergio Francisco is banking on the attacking duo Oyarzabal-Guedes and a balanced and square 4-4-2.
Probable lineups
BETIS (4-2-3-1): Valles; Bellerin, Natan, Gomez, Firpo; Fornals, Altimira; Antony, Lo Celso, Riquelme; Cucho. All. Pellegrini.
REAL SOCIEDAD (4-4-2): Remiri; Aramburu, Zubeldia, Caleta-Car, Gomez; Kubo, Marin, Goti, Barrenetxea; Oyarzabal, Guedes. All. Sergio Francisco.
