Stefano Pioli makes mea culpa, but Fiorentina confirms it: "Confidence Unlimited"

Florentin soccer club: the violets lose again against Como, and Stefano Pioli must face a standings situation that sees him still searching for his first win of the season in Serie A and with one point less gained than the already criticized Raffaele Palladino who preceded him. The Emilia coach recited the mea culpa after Sunday’s match at the Stadio Franchi, with ds Daniele Pradè nevertheless confirming the great trust of the club in him.

“The fans booed us, and we have to accept it – was Pioli‘DAZN’s hot comment to ‘DAZN’, after the conclusion of Fiorentina-Como -. We wanted to get a different result, but we didn’t make it. There are moments in the match when we have to improve, it is my job and I have to find ways to change things. Particularly in the second half we didn”t handle the ball well, then their equalizer took away further confidence”.

“We understand the disappointment of the fans, we are disappointed as well. We can&#8217t afford these problems if we aim to have a championship level. Now we have to focus on the work to be done, which needs to be improved”, Pioli added. And the internal mood at Fiorentina is generally very low, but at the moment confidence in the coach is not diminishing. That, at least, is what ds Pradè has guaranteed.

“Disappointment and regret are great, because we certainly did not expect such results – Pradè told the official channels of Fiorentina itself -But we are at the’beginning of a path, and I am confident. The team is very good and we should expect something to change in the near future”.

As mentioned, however, not the’coach. “The path has started in a winding way, but we are convinced that we will get out of it. Our confidence in Stefano Pioli is unlimited. The coach is our leader, as well as a man of experience. He enjoys all our trust, and the team is also working hard. We have to believe in it”, Pradè added.
