Anna Huang triumphs at 16 at La Sella Open

The fourth and final round of the La Sella Open in Spain was played. At only 16 years old, Anna Huang captured her first title on the Ladies European Tour. Starting in the lead from the first round, the young Canadian maintained the lead until the end, despite mounting pressure.
Frenchwoman Nastasia Nadaud started the final round very aggressively, immediately making two birdies and bringing herself within one shot of the leader. But Huang kept her cool: seven pars in the first half of the course and two birdies on 3 and 9. Although he made two mistakes, he closed on a high note with three birdies on the last five holes.
With a final round of 69 strokes (-20 total), Huang became the first player to win a LET tournament before the age of 17 since Chiara Noja in 2022. “Honestly, I am in shock! I can’t believe I won. It’s unbelievable. I stayed focused on the moment, not letting the scores distract me. I focused on each shot and followed the game plan that had worked in the previous days, without becoming too conservative” said the young champion.
