Liga Portugal 2025-2026: Sporting-Moreirense, the likely lineups

It already holds a fair amount of importance in the Monday night postponement of Liga Portugal 2025-2026: Sporting Lisbon, in fact, cannot afford any missteps against Moreirense in order not to lose further ground on top-seeded Porto, the only team still with full points after six league matches. It will be played at the Estadio José Alvalade, the green-and-white club’s facility in the Lusitanian capital.
Sporting comes from two consecutive victories, one in the league against Famalicao (2-1) and one in the Champions League against Kairat (4-1). The big star of the European competition was Trincao, whose place on the three-quarter line is assured barring unforeseen circumstances. Up front, however, the point of reference is Suarez, the Colombian striker recently featured in the World Cup qualifiers, with four goals in his national team’s 6-3 win over Venezuela.
On the other hand, Moreirense is one of the surprises of this early season, with four wins in their first five league games. The last match played by Vasco Botelho da Costa’s men ended 3-1 against Rio Ave: Travassos, Marcelo and Alanzhino scored, with the former, however, being absent on Monday due to injury.
The Moreirense team is a surprise in the league.
