Coppa Italia, Cagliari: poker at Frosinone, now there's Napoli

The round of 16 of the Coppa Italia opened with a poker from Cagliari. At the Unipol Domus the Rossoblù overwhelmed Frosinone (4-1) and qualified for the round of 16 where they will face the Italian champions Napoli.
Not even two minutes pass and the hosts take the lead with Gaetano making it 1-0 on a penalty kick. The guests’ response came at 36′ with Vergani who scored from two steps. Three minutes later the Yellow and Blue came close to overtaking with Ndow’s crossbar.
In the resumption, after three sharp chances, the red-blues took the lead again with Borrelli beating Pisseri from the center of the box on Felici’s assist. All’80’ it is the same Felici to drop the tris for the Sardinians. In the final there’s glory also for Cavuoti who signs the final 4-1.
Thanks to this success, Cagliari advances to the round of 16 where it will take on Napoli. The Rossoblù will be back on the field Saturday night in Serie A when they host Inter at the Unipol Domus at 8:45 p.m., while the Ciociari will take on Mantova away at 3 p.m. in Serie B.
The team will play a match against Mantova.
