Santiago Gimenez and Christopher Nkunku to score, Milan in the round of 16
A Milan’s clean sweep in the Italian Cup. After eliminating Bari, in the round of 16 the team coached by Massimiliano Allegri had no problem against Lecce, defeated 3-0.
At the San Siro, after an empty-goal Nkunku goalpost, the game went well for the Rossoneri on 18′ with Siebert’s expulsion and two minutes later Santiago Gimenez’s first goal, finally scoring after a nightmarish start to the league.
In the second half, the Rossoneri (who also hit a crossbar with Rabiot just before halftime) hit another woodwork with Loftus-Cheek before closing the score with a half-volleyed volley by Nkunku (51′) and a dart by Pulisic (64′).
A.C. Milan, awaiting Sunday’s Serie A big match with unbeaten Serie A leaders Napoli, will face Lazio in the round of 16.
