Brasileirão 2025: Vasco da Gama-Bahia, the probable formations

Vasco da Gama and Bahia will compete in the 16th day of the Brasileirão, Brazil’s premier league, in a match scheduled for Wednesday night. In Italy, however, the match will kick off as early as Thursday night, with kickoff scheduled for 0:30. The hosts are far behind in the standings, with the relegation zone just two points away. The guests, sixth and in the midst of a race to qualify for the preliminary round of the Copa Libertadores, are much better off.

Vasco da Gama is expected to take the field with only one point: Vegetti. Three will start a few meters behind him, with Coutinho in the center, Gomez on the right and Moreira on the left. In the midfield Barros and Moura, defense with Rodriguez and Henrique on the side lanes, and the Cuesta-Freitas pair in the middle, in front of Jardim.

The Gama’s team is expected to play in the middle.

More densely packed Bahia’s midfield, which will see Araujo and Sanabria on the flanks and the Jean Lucas-Ribeiro duo starting behind Jose alone. Acevedo will be the breakwater in front of the four-man defense composed of Arias, Mingo, Xavier and Juba, protecting the goal defended by Ronaldo.
