Monza-Padova 0-1

It’s a flop the first post-Adriano Galliani game for Monza: at the U-Power Stadium the newly promoted Padova wins by a narrow margin.

.

In the first half, the hosts, albeit lined up with front-wheel drive, have a hard time creating any headaches for the son of art Fortin, engaged only by a conclusion from the distance by Obiang. More insidious were the guests, who, however, immediately wasted a good opportunity with Lasagna and then found an alert Thiam on their way.

The game restarted after halftime and the Veneti immediately went in goal with a conclusion from outside the box by Varas. With his team under Bianco tries to shuffle the cards (replaced by Zeroli also a not very incisive Colpani) and the Brianzoli at least begin to put pressure on the guests, who try to ice the match.

They are now in the middle of the game.

With 25′ to go, the Monza coach revolutionizes the attack, removing Alvarez and Maric to introduce Caprari and Petagna. A handful of seconds pass and Zeroli equalizes with a beautiful header, but there is an offside at the start of the action and Arena cancels.

Monza is also unlucky because on the half-hour mark Caprari hits the inside post to Fortin’s left with a looping shot. Padova doesn’t come out anymore, but home maneuvers are often predictable, also because fatigue begins to take its toll and throws into the box are easy prey for the goalkeeper: Zeroli, again with a header, fails to keep the ball low at the expiration.

The Monza team is also unlucky as Arena’s goalkeeper is not able to keep the ball in the box.

Six minutes of stoppage time, Caprari wins a corner, kicked into Fortin’s arms, then another one arrives, but the result does not change. Padova wins.
