Everything went well, I am overjoyed and very proud of myself and the team. In Misano we found the square, here we didn”t touch anything.

“We had a few little problems yesterday at the beginning of the session but luckily we solved it quickly. I led the race at my own pace and I really missed that. It’s a great pity we didn’t get there sooner, it would have been a completely different championship, at least mine”.

Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin ended up knocked out at the first corner: ongoing medical checks for the rider from Rimini, his colleague, on the other hand, suffered a dislocated fracture of the right shoulder. Martin was first taken to the circuit’s medical center, then it was decided to transfer him by helicopter to Tokyo’s hospital.
