Finally Pecco Bagnaia. In Motegi, the Italian rider returns to smile and, above all, to win a GP. He does it in the best way, that is, dominating as he did in the good old days. A victory that smacks of rebirth, after a season in which disappointments were many and very heavy to bear.

A success that Pecco Bagnaia celebrates in a big way: “It is a great pity we could not take advantage of all this during the’whole season. It is the first weekend in which we were scary. After a year like this, it was hard to think we could find the square again but we did. Better late than never. I really enjoyed today. Wonderful to ride the bike like this”, his words to Sky Sports.

The two-time World Champion removes a couple of pebbles from his shoes: “I may be a bit stubborn but I am the last person to stop believing in my qualities. I knew that when I had the opportunity to be in front, I would take advantage of the situation. As a man, I am very proud”.

It does not end there. Despite the fact that Marc Marquez is already world champion, Pecco Bagnaia promises battle for the five races still remaining before the end of the season. L’azzurro wants to show that he can duel on equal terms with his teammate: “The next races we will try to do what we can. It would be fun to fight a little from here to the end” his closing remark.
