MotoGP: Pecco Bagnaia wins in Motegi, Marc Marquez is world champion

At Motegi it is Ducati triumph. The race celebrated the return to success of Pecco Bagnaia. The blue rider, after winning the Sprint, crossed the finish line first, taking a victory that smacks so much of personal redemption after a decidedly complicated season.
Marc Marquez is also celebrating big time, and thanks to his second place in the race behind Pecco Bagnaia himself, he is mathematically MotoGP world champion (541 points, unreachable by his brother Alex at -201 points). For the Ducati star this is the ninth World Championship of his career, or the same titles of a legend like Valentino Rossi.
Marc Marquez returns to the MotoGP throne nearly six years after he last won the World Championship, dominating the season and proving that he is, at the moment, the best rider on the track. His numbers are the stuff of science fiction: 11 GPs won, always on the podium in the Sprints except at Misano (in total, he has won an impressive 14) and very few moments of difficulty (Austin and Jerez). In short, a true cannibal.
Ducati drinks big, confirming itself as the best team of the lot. In Motegi, there’s a lot to celebrate: Marc Marquez world champion and, at last, the first glimpse of the season of a Pecco Bagnaia able to go beyond his limits (engine problems in the race).
