Roscoe, Lewis Hamilton&#8217s dog, didn&#8217t make it: he died Sunday night, as announced by the Ferrari driver through a long post on his Instagram account. “After four days attached to cars, struggling with every ounce of strength he had, I had to make the hardest decision of my life and say goodbye to Roscoe” wrote the Englishman.

“He never stopped fighting, until the very last moment. I feel deeply grateful and honored to have shared my life with such a beautiful soul, an angel and a true friend. Welcoming Roscoe into my life was the best choice I ever made, and I will cherish forever the memories we created together”.

“Although I lost Coco, I had never before had to make the decision to put a dog to sleep, although I know that my mother and many close friends have been through this– admitted the seven-time world champion. “It is one of the most painful experiences one can go through, and I feel a deep bond with anyone who has faced the loss of a beloved animal”.

“As difficult as it has been, having him by my side has been one of the most beautiful aspects of life: to love so deeply and be loved equally. Thank you all for the love and support you have shown Roscoe over the years. It was truly special to be able to see and hear him. He died Sunday evening, Sept. 28, in my arms” Hamilton concluded.
