Daniil Medvedev knocked out, the final will be between Jannik Sinner and Learner Tien

It will be US-based Learner Tien (No. 52 ATP) who will challenge Jannik Sinner tomorrow for the Beijing tournament title.

The 20-year-old Californian reached the final thanks to the withdrawal of Daniil Medvedev, who was forced to raise the white flag due to cramps as the score read 5-7, 7-5, 2-0 in his favor.

Medvedev, now No. 18 in the rankings, had built an important lead in the second set before suffering the first physical problems. Limping and limited in his movements, he nonetheless tried to stay on the court, despite the referee calling him out by threatening a warning for poor combativeness.
