Inter, Cristian Chivu satisfied but there is concern for Marcus Thuram

The only real negative note of Inter’s brilliant Champions League evening, victorious 3-0 against Slavia Prague, materialized just a couple of minutes after the tris signed by Lautaro Martinez: Marcus Thuram, in fact, seemed to be in obvious difficulty from a physical point of view, so much so that coach Cristian Chivu was forced to add a substitution to the three he already had in the program, inserting Bonny in place of the Nerazzurri number 9.
At the microphones of ‘Sky Sport‘, the Romanian coach preferred not to comment on the condition of his starting center forward: “How is Marcus? He told me he felt a cramp, that is why I preferred to replace him. We can’t say anything now, we have to wait for tomorrow’s assessments. What is certain is that I hope it is nothing serious”.
The physical management of the players in the squad had led Chivu to turnover from the game won in Cagliari on Saturday night: “Between one game and the next there were only seventy-two hours, I wanted to give chances to those who have played less in this beginning of the season. I am happy with Bisseck and Zielinski, they made themselves ready”.
Inter will face their next Champions League match on Oct. 21 at home to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium. Before that there will be the San Siro match against undefeated Cremonese on Saturday, Oct. 4, the break for national team activities and the big league match scheduled at the Stadio Olimpico against Roma on Saturday, Oct. 18.
