Champions League 2025-2026: Qarabag-FC Copenhagen, the likely lineups

After the surprising victory on the first day at the Benfica pitch, Qarabag is aiming to rewrite the history of Azerbaijani soccer in Europe.
Should another success come on Wednesday night against FC Copenhagen, in fact, the team coached by Gurban Gurbanov would be the first from Azerbaijan to win two matches in a row in the Champions League.
The Qarabag coach’s idea is to confirm the 4-2-3-1 deployed in Portugal, with Duran a central point of reference in the attack and a line of trequartisti consisting of Zoubir, Leandro Andrade and Kashchuk. The latter was the’hero of the match played last Sept. 16 at Da Luz, with the goal that at 86’completed the comeback from 0-2 to 3-2.
On the other side, however, there will be a team that is anything but submissive, as evidenced by a 2-2 first-day draw against Bayer Leverkusen, a result sealed by an unfortunate Hatzidiakos own goal in 91′. FC Copenhagen’FC Copenhagen and its coach Jacob Neestrup will go for a square 4-4-2, with Moukoko and Elyounoussi trying to break through the opposition defensive line.
