Jannik Sinner and the comparison with Novak Djokovic: "It makes no sense"

Jannik Sinner spoke at a press conference after his triumph at the Beijing ATP 500. “When you win again where you have already won a title, that is a very special place– he admitted -The victory two years ago was definitely a turning point for my career, playing great tennis against great opponents. I will always remember that”.
“To come back here and win again is very nice – added the Blue who demolished Learner Tien with a double 6-2 in the final -. The support has been incredible from day one. To see the stadium full for the final is something extraordinary. The audience has been very warm, that’s why I wrote ‘thank you'”.
With his second title at the ‘China Open’ Sinner equaled Rafael Nadal: only Novak Djokovic has done better with 6 trophies in Beijing: “It’s great, of course, to have my name next to theirs. For me, this will always be a beautiful tournament, regardless of what happens in the future. It is very unusual to come to a place for the first time and win right away like I did here, where I played three finals in three years. It means I really enjoy playing tennis here. I feel very comfortable. But, as I always say, comparing myself to Novak doesn’t make sense, he’s in another category with all he has achieved in his career. I am just a normal 24-year-old trying to play the best tennis I can”.
“I know I have won some good titles in my young career, but let’s see how much I can hold up. What Novak, Rafa and Roger have done for more than 15 years has been incredible. Novak is still here and he is showing incredible tennis. So we’ll see. I’m here to play. I’m here to have fun. And I am also happy to say that I have won twice here, then we will see in the future” concluded the world number two.
