Charles Leclerc begins to lose hope and lashes out

Charles Leclerc spoke ahead of the Singapore Gp weekend: “If I knew what our weakness was, it would all be easier… Both we and Red Bull and Mercedes have made progress but McLaren has found something more and then also RB and Mercedes have taken another step forward that we have not been able to do”.

“I don&#8220t think we can ever start favored this year over McLaren but… never say never. We might have a few more chances if there are unforeseen rubber management issues, or in Las Vegas, but it will be tough to win a Grand Prix by the end of the’year”.

“We have to do better. It is very disappointing, Ferrari cannot be satisfied with finishing second or third or fourth. The Marina Bay circuit is high load but I don’t think we can expect miracles. In Baku in qualifying we didn”t do a great job and I don”t think it will get better here.

“Taking pole position like in Hungary? I will try hard but I don&#8217t expect the same conditions. The preparation for Singapore is a bit specific, although to tell the truth I try to be in top form from the first to the last race of the year. We have a cooler jacket available, but I don&#8217t think this year here will be any different from other years”.
