Marc Marquez puts his hands up and sees himself off the podium

Marc Marquez ended his Friday in Indonesia outside the Top 10, with the’11th fastest time: “The truth is, it wasn’t the best way to celebrate the World Championship, but it’s not the first time it”
has happened to me here, at Mandalika”
.
“It is definitely not my track; it is the worst for my emotions. But it is true that I started this morning and it wasn’t that bad; I was doing well, I was comfortable. But then, in the afternoon, I went out and had two very strange falls”.
“The first was at the front, but it all stemmed from the problem at the rear; the second was also a strange ‘highside,’ since the Ducati electronics usually work very well. Nothing, it was just a tire change and, again, I felt good. The thing is, I was coming from two hard hits, especially the second one, the harder one, and I didn’t want to fall again.”
“I will not win here tomorrow or Sunday. And it is unlikely that I will be on the podium. Once the championship is over, the goal is achieved, I said that, and when I say that, that’s what I mean: my goal is to finish the year, and in 2026 we will try to give 100 percent again. But once the World Championship is over, the priority is to get through this race and then, starting in Australia, find a good rhythm”.
