Charles Leclerc sternly with Ferrari after Singapore qualifying, which ended with an optimal seventh time for the Monegasque. His disappointment erupted already in the heat of the moment in a radio message to the team that needs no interpretation, only to be explained in a more composed but no less dejected manner when the engines were turned off.

The number 16 Ferrari is now in the lead.

The No. 16 Ferrari has complained of driveability problems since its arrival in Singapore, with Leclerc struggling in each of the sessions at the Marina Bay circuit after an’illusory FP1. Already passed by the skin of his teeth in Q3 during qualifying, the Monegasque then ended his final flying lap by almost losing control of the rear of his Ferrari at the last corner. Evident was his gesture of annoyance at the finish line, very clear the message in the team radio: “Unbelievable, unbelievable. Really bad. What a m…;”;

weekend.

In the following minutes, intercepted by ‘Sky Sport’, he then went into more detail. “This weekend has been very difficult so far – admitted Leclerc -We had gone well in FP1, among other things with good speed without even trying too hard to find the limit. But then we had to make changes to the car and from the second free practice we struggled a lot”.

In contrast to other times, however, this time Leclerc did not want to go into the details of his Ferrari’s difficulties. “An explanation is always there, but at the end of the day even the explanations are not good enough. Not least because on paper Mercedes is supposed to suffer in the heat, but here it took pole position. So we have no excuses, we have to do better – thundered the Monegasque -I don&#8217t know what to say anymore, I&#8217m so sorry and I tried my best. But it was really complicated to drive this car”.
