Italy, running change for Gennaro Gattuso

Mattia Zaccagni skips the national team, in his place Gennaro Gattuso calls up Roberto Piccoli. The Lazio striker has in fact been excluded from the national team&#8217s call-up list due to an injury sustained in training yesterday, making him unavailable for the next two matches valid for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with Estonia (Oct. 11, Tallinn) and Israel (Oct. 14, Udine).

In his place, the Azzurri coach has called up Fiorentina striker Roberto Piccoli, on his first call-up with the senior national team. The gathering is set for the evening of Monday, Oct. 6, at the federal technical center in Coverciano. This is the list of the 27 Azzurri summoned.
